Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors |
|
APPLICATION NOTICE
- Polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitor has polarity. If used in reverse polarity, the capacitor may become a short circuit and may be damaged and the circuit life may be shortened.
- Do not apply voltage exceeding the capacitor's rated voltage.
- Use the capacitor according to the specified operating temperature range.
- Do not apply a ripple current exceeding the rated max. ripple current. Otherwise, the capacitor may be damaged and its life may be shortened.
- When soldering temperature is too high and the soldering time is too long, it will have adverse effects on the capacitor's characteristics and the PVC sleeve may split or shrink.
- The electrolytic capacitor is not suitable for a circuit in which charge and discharge are heavily repeated. If so, the capacitance value may drop down and will not ensure long life.
- If excessive force is applied to the lead wire and terminal, it may be broken and damaged.
- The capacitor tolerance and the maximum value of dissipation factor (tan £_) are specified in each table which is measured at 120Hz and 25¢J ; the leadage current should be measured at 25¢J after 3 minute application of D.C. working voltage.
- The capacitor should be kept at a normal tmperature and humidity. Should the capacitor be stored too lengthy, apply the rated voltage to the capacitor before use.
